The town or harbor was founded in 1933 by the
Fishermen's Association and is located east of
Tipperne at the southern end of Ringkøbing
Fjord, consisting of both a marina with space
for around 200-300 pleasure boats, a fishing
harbor, and a harbor for houseboats. It is one of
the gentle responses to the wild North Sea.
Windsurfing is practiced here, and especially
for beginners, it is ideal – you can walk on the
bottom almost anywhere and there are not many
waves. The perfect training spot with good conditions. Surf schools and stand-up paddleboarding
under fine and safe conditions, summer cafes,
and water sports events at the harbor make Bork
Havn a mecca for wetsuits, sunglasses, and plenty of water fun from Easter to autumn.
