It is a small holiday town with few shopping
opportunities, but with several campsites
and original holiday homes in the dunes
by the water, although now supplemented
with new areas inland. Like Blåvand, Vejers
Strand is close to the military training area,
and the driving beach has made it possible
for some of the large Hercules planes from
both the British and Danish militaries to
land on the beach – first in the dark at night
and later in broad daylight.
Vejers Strand is one of the quieter areas/
towns on the coast, but still with many
one-day guests in addition to the holiday
home guests, precisely because it is possible to drive down to the beach – put up
your windscreen and sun parasol and enjoy
the water and beach all day. Peace and
quiet and enjoyment are the keywords for
the city, where nature comes right into the
city and everyone can relax. BUT with the
opportunity to eat well!
