The city behind the beach has remained manageable with only a modest selection of shops,
cafes, restaurants and accommodation options.
There is plenty of space in Vejers Strand, no
crowds, no queues, no nightlife and no large
shopping centres.
On the other hand, holiday homes have gradually spread to the hinterland and along the dunes.
The beach itself is divided into two: the twokilometre-long south beach makes it possible
to drive the family, dogs and windscreens right
down to the water’s edge to enjoy summer life
from the front row, while Nordstranden is carfree with plenty of space for everyone.
Vejers is particularly known for its strong
communities and active associations. Obliging
enthusiasts gather for outdoor services, communal dining, nightlife, morning bathing, beach
yoga, the amber festival and much more over
the summer.
