Ølgod is surrounded by fields and open spaces. The
city is home to some of the region’s largest companies and a thriving business community, and also
boasts ambitious cultural progress with a significant
annual footprint.
“Skulptur Ølgod” is an association of local enthusiasts
who over the years have bought and exhibited many
works by recognized artists – and turned them into decorative street art in Ølgod.
Many of the local people are proud of Ølgod’s ownership
of Denmark’s first cooperative dairy, founded in 1882.
The simple way of making milk was established here in
the city, and when you visit the dairy, you can see how
simple the process has been.
With its 4,000 inhabitants, the town forms a bridge
between coastal tourism and the central Jutland hinterland. It is a traffic and trade link between east and west.
An hour’s drive from the North Sea, and only 30 minutes
from Billund Airport and LEGOLAND.
